Primary and Middle School grades
The classes for grades 1-8 will meet from 10:30-12pm after the 9:30 Mass. These classes currently follow a traditional model of Catechesis integrating group discussions, prayer, readings, and activities.
For grade 9, the Confirmation Preparation Classes are on Sunday evenings from 5pm-7:00pm twice a month. These classes include presentations, group discussions, prayer and end with Mass.

Grade 1 – God is Good
Curriculum is focused on an introduction to the Triune God, the meaning of Baptism, God’s love for every person and all of creation, introduction of prayer and common prayers of the Christian life.
Grade 2 – God Cares for Us
First Communion Preparation & First Reconciliation
Curriculum focuses on a special preparation for the reception of First Eucharist and, also, Reconciliation. Participation in a meaningful Mass as a celebration of God’s Word and Eucharist is enhanced by an introduction to Mary, Mother of Jesus, as witness to God’s Word. The life of a Christian as part of the Roman Catholic Church conceptualizes the graces of the Sacraments.
Grades 3, 4, & 5 – We Believe
Curriculum invites the student to an understanding of the Catholic faith, the Sacraments that enhance life through grace, an introduction to the Bible and Catholic devotions.
Grade 6 & 7 – God Calls His People
An introduction to the Old Testament, the songs and themes of Psalms clearly portrays the Christian as one who has inherited a faith and a Church which has its roots in God’s loving design for humankind. The Sacraments and many Christian symbols are studied.
Grade 8 – The Church, Then and Now
The students are invited to an in-depth study of the Roman Catholic Church as “the people of God”, a people called to live the life of Christ through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Among the topics are the New Testament readings related to the early Church, respect for life and the need for personal prayer.
Grade 9 – Confirmed in the Spirit
Confirmation Preparation
This culminating year of study, prayer and service invites the young adult to make a personal commitment to follow Christ through a life guided by a personal relationship with God, the precepts of the sacramental life of the Church and service to humankind As a Gospel witness each person is invited to proclaim a firm belief in God’s saving love and be confirmed in God’s Spirit.
